In an effort to establish solidarity with those who suffer around the world, WorthIt organizes events and fundraisers for two main reasons:
1. To educate the Fort Worth community and others about poverty, starvation, disease, and other world-spread problems.
2. To raise funds for organizations that help peoples in becoming self-sufficient. It is not our interest only to help people to survive, but to break whatever cycle is affecting them.It is an unfortunate fact that millions of people live in poverty; that millions of people survive on less than one meal each day, and that entire populations die from treatable diseases as a result of inadequate healthcare, malnutrition, dirty water, and/or ignorance about sanitation and disease prevention.
We believe, that through small steps, everyone can help make the difference in at least one life and that by working together we can impart improved livelihoods through social change without compromising native values. By using even the smallest gifts that we have been given we can make the difference between life and death for someone a world away or in our own back yard.
Our goal is to focus on one cause at a time, raise funds to donate to that cause, and inform others about the cause. We will schedule fundraisers and events around the city to promote awareness of our causes and to reach a specified monetary goal. Explore our website to see what current events or fundraisers we have going on now…
